There are enough crazy Myths on Breastfeeding to make your head spin. So we have set forth to deliver some facts.?
- If you get Breast inflammation you should stop Nursing?
NO, You should do the exact opposite! Keep nursing. This will help empty your mammary glands. And it is important that you completely empty out one breast before moving on to the other. It is tough and it hurts like h… – but it works! Believe me: Been there, done that.
- You cannot keep breastfeeding when the Baby gets its teeth.
WRONG. Of course you can keep nursing your baby even when the teeth start popping out. Kids usually start teething at 4-5 months of age. You will properly want to nurse a lot longer than that. And most of us do. Your baby may bite you a couple of times. So pull your baby of the tit if that happens – and wait a little. They will soon realize that biting is not a good idea if they want more milk. But do not let a couple of small teeth stop you from nursing your baby.
- Nursing will make your breasts sag.
NOT QUITE TRUE. The (sad) truth is that it is the pregnancy that changes your breast – not the nursing. So this should be an argument for not having kids – not an argument for depriving them of the best start in life – by not nursing them. I guess we have to realize that if we want those cute kids – we will have to live with the fact that our breasts will properly not look as they did when we were 20. But I think it’s worth it, don’t you?  ?
